Just a couple of pics of my O/A welding cart made mostly from old bed frame scrounged from the neighbours trash Attached Images
Reply:not bad... got any close-ups? i like that plastic tool box idea (how it can be easily removed it seems), but i would be slightly worried about heat (dropping a hot tip in there after changing? idunno... never had O/A at home).Later,Andy
Reply:Nice cart. Did you make it with O/A welding? Now you can step up those tanks to at least 80/75's. Good suggestion about the plastic box. Just Resting your torch could cause melting or worse a tip fouled with plastic.
Reply:I had thought about the plastic box and the heat issue, but I was driven by the cost factor. I think I will shell out for a meatl box, makes more sense. The cart was actually mig welded, I wanted the cart first to secure the tanks before I started to use them. I'll post a couple more pics soon.
Reply:Awful cute!WeldingWeb forum--now more sophomoric banter than anything else!
Reply:Plastic should not be an issue. the tips do not get that hot overall - i can almost touch mine after turning the flame off. |
