Well here's my trailer again, yall remember what the table looked like before right? Keep looking I added it toward the bottom of the page.  http://www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=5460  Well here's the new improved version, we'll call it version 2.0  It only takes 2 lynch pins to hold it up.  I like it a lot better, and I got a billboard on the side of my trailer now   more pics in the next post.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:here's the cable reels I made, much easier.  The whole thing comes out so I can roll my torch on and off the trailer.I'm proud of my cheap compressor.  I have under $20 in it.A couple of stands I made cause I thought they might come in handyHope everyone enjoys the pics.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Looks good, but how is it with cross winds?
Reply:...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Is that a 73'-79' Ford I spy in the background?Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Everything looks great FUZZ, what thickness is the table? I, too, was wondering how it handles above 55mph.John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com

Reply:As far as my table catching wind, I've only had it around town so I haven't gotten over 45 but I couldn't notice any effect.  the table is made of 10ga. sheet with  3" 11ga. tubing in between.  It's still pretty heavy lifting it.Last edited by littlefuzz; 03-17-2007 at 10:47 PM.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools

Reply:I hope you are not traveling on the highway with the regulators installed as shown.  In my state and surrounding states the bottles must be capped, not to mention the shock damage to the regulators being transported that way.

Reply:Looks good, I wouldn't think wind will be too big of a problem, people seem to be able to tow camper trailors wich have a much larger surface just fine.Do you have any problems with things like the chop-saw sliding around?
Reply:The chop saw hasn't moved, the only thing I'd be worried about is someone taking it.  Everything else is welded down now except the LN-25 and that'll be locked up in the truck if I'm not around   I was gonna paint my lettering on the bottom of the table but I think I'd be better off having it done in vinyl, what do yall think?DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:every thing looks good i like the table idea the only thing i would personaly change is make my reels for my leads live it makes for a less frustrating time especialy if you are in a funky position and you need more lead you can just pull on it and keep going without having to wiggle out go over unplug spool more lead plug back in and then wiggle back in to your position if not sure how to make them and would like to know how i will gladly help just teying to help and make life easier ... best of luck
Reply:i must be blind, but where is the grill, all welding trucks and welding trailers must have a grill.  that table would probably seat 6-7 people
Reply:Hell, no more than I get to use my setup I'm not to worried about the reels.  Anybody wanna make a bid on the rig?DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools

Reply:Anybody wanna make an offer on the trailer?  What do you think it would be worth? Less than 30hrs on the 250 ranger and LN-25.  Doesn't come with toolbox or compressor, just ranger 250, LN-25, and trailer.  I'm don't have enough time to put into a side business with all time I spend at my regular job, I can't justify keeping it DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:haha thats awesome i fancey the fold down tableM Fed
Reply:For live reels you just make them on some old trailer hubs and spindles. The current goes through the bearings. The ground reel is bolted straight to the truck,[in a bin] and the hot lead is insulated with two pieces of plastic cutting board and pieces of 1/2" plastic gas line and it is in a bin as well. I made mine over twenty years ago and they still work great. I've changed trucks several times but the bed goes on and on as do the reels.
Reply:Regarding the lettering for your billboard:  Go with the professionally-produced lettering- dont try to paint it yourself (unless you have some skill in that area).  A professional sign says a lot about a business- a cheap-*** sign says a LOT more- especially when you're in the fabricating business.  IMHO.  Lincoln AC225 & MigPak 140, Lincoln Magnum SpoolGun, Miller Spectrum 375-X Plasma, Syncrowave 200 TIG, Millermatic 252 MIG, Miller Digital Elite, General 7x12" horiz/vert bandsaw, 3' box/pan brake, 20 ton press, milling machine, 12x28 lathe, etc.
Reply:Here's the sign I finally came up with.  The letters are made of 10ga.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=20118DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
