i was at the local welding shop yesterday and bought a miller 210. im 16 and have been stick welding for 3 years with a miller thunderbolt that was given to me. i felt that a mig would be more practical for the welding i do. at the store a guy told me that you can also hook up a tig gun and ground to the power inside of the welder. is this possible or reccomended. how do u hook up the foot pedal also? any suggestions would be great. Reply:Howdy Howdy! The tig process uses the same power source style as the stick welder does...which is completely different from a Mig style transformer setup.  One is CC, constant current, the other is CV, or constant voltge.  Some expensive machines CAN do both, CC/CV, some with transformers, but most now with inverter power supplies.  So... basically, no. you can not tig with your MM210.  BUT you can easily weld alluminum with it, and directly connect a spoolgun for flawless feeding with it.  That is probably what he meant.  The process would still be mig, but it would be using a spool (gun), whereas tig uses a tig (torch).  Maybee this helps clarify.  Your owners manual should help ya with this info.  Good luck with your machine, it is a fine fine welding machine.  Brian Lee  Sparkeee27
