Here are some welds with 6013 on my new (to me) Lincoln 220 at 105 amps for the most part. Here is a pic of some of the uncleaned welds. It was a piece of .25"x4'x2" steel i got to practice on. I cut it into roughly 6" strips and made a little plate out of them. Now a blobby weld I threw up.Now some of the ones I feel pretty good about. And now my workspace. Thanks for any input for improving.Kris
Reply:Looks good, try the next notch up, 120 amps. It is 1/8" rod?Did you grind the mill scale off?DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Yeah, its 1/8" rod and I just gave the joints a little wire brush before going to town. Was a little anxious to use it so I didn't clean very well. I'll Give 120 a try as soon as it dries up around here. Every time I try to get some good practice in it starts to thunder. Thanks for your input. |
