Reply:no I don't allow them to hang out while welding or grinding i'm just doing prep and the wife decided to surprise me with lunch
Reply:As to the sand blasting i sub it out. A job this size done the way I wanted(white metal) requires equipment not available to the average joe. Note that the old paint(epoxy)was not in bad shape just faded. It took a industrial blaster with a large ingersoll compressor 9 hours to do one side they were not planning on it taking so long. I insisted before the job that it not be left bare metal overnight so they had to stay to put on the zinc primer. but in the end it came out real good. if you all want I have some pics of the blasting?

Reply:I am thinking about better surprise than wife with lunch... and can only think about mother with dinner....About that sandblasting. Of course this was an amazing job... But I just do not want to ask about the pice... Probably will end up with heart attack... I do realize this is a bit too late but what exactly was wrong with old painting?
