Hi. Has anyone here ever modded a 14 to 16 foot box truck into a vending/concession/foot truck? I'm sure in principle it isn't difficult but I'm having trouble trying to find some sort of layout or detail to follow. Any advice or help is much appreciated.
Reply:I imagine the height of a Box truck will probably pose a problem- you'll be too high to be able to serve out a window. There's a guy on the Hobart forum that does a lot of the Concession Trailers.( can't remember if he is on WW)Here ya gohttp://www.hobartwelders.com/weldtal...ad.php?t=38106he could probably answer yer questionsLast edited by Broccoli1; 04-03-2011 at 07:51 PM.Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge

Reply:I used to do generator work for a guy that converted a decommissioned Cornwell tool truck into a food vending wagon. Worked quite well for him. He also had a trailer for his catering side of the business but the van was the mainstay. If it's of a larger 26,000# GVW taller unit, the floor outboard of the chassis frame can always be modified to be sunken in the area of a side service window if needed. Not sure if a day of up and down the step(s) might be a bit hard or not.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
