I just got this from my father-in-law.Trying to find some info on it on the web but coming up empty. She's an oldie, but is it a goodie?Marquette Farm Welder 60C Any clue how old?My wife also wound up with the model A in the background photo.  She got the car, I get the job of restoration. Sat in a garage since '68Make your kids wear their safety helmet. If Brian did He'd still be herewith us.  It only takes one fall.Brian P. Gronenthal 1990-2006  http://wearahelmet.org
Reply:I know this is a welding forum, but I'd really like to see a picture of that Model A. Would be pretty cool if you could use that welder to do some work on the car, probably made your father-in-law smile.

Reply:Banjo - Good luck on the restoration.  Lincoln aquired Marquette in 2003 so maybe they can help with information on that awesome looking piece of history.I read the account of Brian's accident and I'm so sorry about your loss.  We have four of our own and it sounds as if Brian was so much like them and I can't imagine being without any of them.  My heart goes out to you and your family.  Thanks for posting the link.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Any chance there is any paperwork taped inside the welder? If you get any more info, please post it and the picture on the sticky thread re old pictures  in this section.Regarding the Model A, I have a friend who makes new seals for the 'A' (I don't know which ones) and has redesigned the engine with 5 mains, pressure lube (I think) and a little more 'metal' near the cylinder top. He is currently trying to put them into production. I wonder if that engine ever powered any factory-made welders?
Reply:We had a Marquette stick welder on the farm I grew up on.  It looked nothing like that. There phone number is 1.866.236.0044. They are part of the WCTA division of Lincoln Electric. http://www.wctallc.com/Some what confusing is before LE bought them they were owned by  Lincoln Industrial.
