Was lookin' at the post about an ATV trailer and got to thinkin' about my tank cart, and how you can use pins to secure swing out assemblies. It was the second thing I made when I started welding. It's been kind to my back for a lot of years. Attached Images

Reply:I call it foresight, and a tad of Southern Engineerin'. Gotta look forward to the day when the ol' bod ain't as strong as it used to be.That little ol' thing goes back about a decade and a half. I'm reaping the rewards now. Back ain't what it used to be.Funny thing here. You see every year how much older yer gettin' . Every season is very well defined. It's time to plant, time to harvest, etc......... You are very aware of time passing. It's not like a regular job. A year is really a year. Not like a job where you count weekends. I don't know if it's a good thing, or a bad thing. But I can doggone tell ya, I'm thinkin' about my age more, and more, as the seasons progress

Reply:Just a point of interest.. Acetylene tanks contain acetone which saturates the inside packing when stored or transported other than a vertical position. You will have some draw off of the acetone if used immediately when uprighted. Acetylene tanks that have been tipped horizontal should be allowed to stabilize for at least 2 hours. The military regulations say 24 hours. Acetylene can become unstable and dangerous very easily when not properly handled.. Good Luck and be careful.
