I'M looking to upgrade my MIG to one from this decade.  I was wondering what made you guys that bought a passport decide on that model.  Portability?, Inverter technology? .  Just curious if it's worth the extra money if it will live in my shop full-time.  I've read all the past posts about how great it is and comparisons between the Lincoln and Miller 175's, just wondering what owners thought was the key selling point.  I do car restores, so less then 1/4" steel as far as use.ThanksDavid
Reply:If it were to live in my shop full time, I would go with the MM210 (assuming I wasn't going to go bigger.)This adds aluminum and gun-on-demand spoolgun capability as well as a bigger duty-cycle and built-in cart and cylinder rack. But for portability, the Passport is the finest machine on the planet, for all the obvious reasons.
Reply:Thanks, the 210 was on my list as well.  I never used an inverter powered MIG, just didn't want to miss out on something.
