Reply:Thanks everybody, everything is welded with a miller syncrowave 250 dx.Amps are set at 310Balance is at 6Material thickness is .125 the insert pieces are 1.5 thick solid with .125 chamfer on both pieces of material.I like to use the pure tungsten electrodes, with 4043 welding rod.I usually just wipe of the material with a rag to get the machining coolant off.

Reply:geez those are pretty nice . i welded some thin alum today for a project of my own i wouldnt wast the time to post it . but i ran out of argon half way through ..so its sunday what else could i do , so i stick welded itwith old alum rod i had in the garage the coating was falling off it , seemed damp i did get it to fuse for the most part then i used my grinder to sooth it up a bit ...
