anyhoo-I picked up a little Fire Pit from Sears- cheaper than making one- and have burned enough wood in it to have destroyed the original bottom grate and a second one I made. Little welder comes on handy as well as the little HF Ring Roller. Reply:If you cut the top off, and replace it with a flat plate you can cook on top of that thing. If you put a little lip around the edje your dogs/brats won't roll off the edge plus you can cook eggs on it then.JTMcC.
