Dual Monitor Stand

I recieved my 2 Asus VW222U 22" LCD monitors today and wanted a nise solid dual monitor stand that was nice and clean looking with as small a footprint as possible and this is what I ended up building.It is basicly 1-1/4 .120 wall tubing with a couple pieces of 1-1/2 .125 wall tubing with the base made from 1/4" plate. The backing plates for the monitors is made from 1/8" plate. I then powder coated the entire stand with super wet black powder coating. All in all I spent about 4 hours start to finish. Reply:I don't know what happened but on my screen all the pictures are going off to the right hand side and I can't even see my edit icon. Can anyone tell me what is going on. All I did was add 5 pics using the manage attachments button.Edit: I figured it out, I had to click Tools/compatibilty view in IE.Last edited by 737mechanic; 11-05-2008 at 10:03 PM.

Reply:Thats one heavy duty monitor stand.  Is it for LCD monitors or CRT?  Looks like LCD in the picture, but I am not sure.The Welder Shop has great deals and reviews on Hobart, Miller and Lincoln Welders.

Reply:What, no Oilite or Delrin or Teflon/PTFE bushings?  Or needle bearing thrust washers with roller bearing shaft bearings?    Then you'd have to put some adjustable friction brake packs in there as well, because they'd spin so easily.  Nice beefy unit.   No tilt adjustment though.  The best laid schemes ...
