Im going to be restoring a 67 c10. I'll be lowering it "bagging", and the frame will need C-notched ect. Is an oxy-fuel welding torch suitable for this?

Reply:I would either mig or tig it. Preferably tig. Welding on frames is not advised unless taken to a professional who understands the effects of welding on frames.

Reply:old frames were weldable, i think.. newer ones are made of alloys that get destroyed from the heat...if you really want some knowledge, start reading about metallurgy..good luck..
