Lincoln Precision TIG 375 vs Miller Squarewave 350

I am in the market now and can't seem to decide between a Lincoln Precision TIG 375 vs Miller Syncrowave 350.  Has anyone used either of these machines or better yet, both, and can tell me what they liked or didn't like about them?I am doing mostly stainless but want the ability to do it all.Thanks in advance.Bill
Reply:Hasn't anyone out there used either of these machines?  If so please help me understand what differences there are.  The online specs and comparators can't be trusted.  They specifically say that the other doesn't have something that the other does have.Thanks,  Bill
Reply:I learned to tig on a hobart and welded most of my career on a miller.  I honestly couldn't tell the difference.  Don't know about the lincoln but did quite a bit of welding with a miller 351 syncrowave.  I believe the guy using the equipment and not lincoln or miller that determines the outcome.
Reply:I have  used the Miller. We got one in the area I work in about 1 1/2 year ago. It sat not even wired in for 9 months. I finally got fed up with and pulled it into service. After about 1 day it quit, I forget the failure code it gave, I believe it  a thermal fault. The Service Rep. had to replace a circuit board and it's been a sexy beast since. I don't know if the failure was anything you could blame on Miller or not. It seems alot of equipment failures happen for odd reasons in that area plus the fact that it sat unattended in a rather nasty area for quite some time.
Reply:Hello,I've got both in my shop. I use the Lincoln five to one over the Miller. The Precision Tig has a smother bottom end then the 350. The Lincoln also came with a three yr. warranty. I've had no trouble with either unit however I would prefer the Lincoln if I had to make a choice over the two units.Ric
