what is the best choice of wireto use when welding galvanized tubing, i have to build alot of corral panels in the up coming monthsso i was just wondering?
Reply:wire...as in mig wire?fluxcore? gas sheilding?tig wire??welding over galvy is a  you should know that... ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:sorry, mig . we use galvanized tubing to make the panels with because it dosen`t rust as much as raw tubing, and by the way we make raw tubing panels as well, i just did`t know if there was a wire specifically for galvanized tubing we use a copper wire now, it does good for most of our welding applications

Reply:You will want to use an ER70S3 wire, and an argon/co2 mix, such as c-25. I've got a customer that welds 18 and 20 gauge galvanized corral panels by the hundreds every week, they use Lincoln Murex S3 wire, and an argon/co2 mix. The addition of Co2 helps burn through the galvanized coating. Another thing you'll need is a good respirator or fresh air hood as welding galvanized is not good for you!!

Reply:Galv. make me sick as he!!  Splatters a lot too.  Seems to burn the burn a lot longer to when they hit your skin   We always just use our regular wire and gas.  If ya start feeling sick stop, zinc poisoning sucks.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
