I work at a small boat yard and frequently I have to weld brass and or bronze nuts to nibral wheels. We use only a stick welding machine. Nothing seems to work all of the time. What kind of stick rod should I use?
Reply:i weld nibral all the time, but only use Tig with 2% tung. with argon gas and weld it as if welding SSi use nibral filler from McDurom Dist. out of michigan www.mcdurmon.com but sure it can be ordered from your welding supply
Reply:Have you considered brazing? That is usually the best process for joining dissimilar alloys.
