Reply:Bums me out every time I see threads like this. I threw out a couple of rotors from an Expedition I could have used. I threw them out before I started reading this board.

Reply:Thanks guys it's always fun digging thru the scrap pile. Duane I thought it was just on my end that was getting cut off nobody said anything LOL. I'm using the aluminum tool box for other projects, I picked it up for $25.00 off craigslist for that reason after I got a quote for the local metal shop I think it was around $150.00 for a 4x8 sheet. I thought well I could use a aluminum tool box to get what I need.Last edited by hytekredneck; 02-18-2009 at 06:36 PM.Reason: speel It's not what you can buy, it's what you can build that matters
Reply:Nice Job!! I made one similar to that and it works great. It did start to "walk" on me and I put a piece of all rubber matting I had underneath it and it took the vibration out of it. Dont even remember where I got the rubber mat but was about 1/4 to 3/8 thick and works great. Just a hint if it starts to walk on u. My welds dont look as good as yours..great job.
Reply:Thanks for the idea. I had an old rim I have been wondering what to do with. Now, I know.
Reply:Very nice stand...They say necessity is the mother of invention, or something like that. I found myself in similar quick need a while back, only my solution was not a pretty. Also, if "walking" becomes a problem, which it did with mine, a couple of lengths of small angle iron placed Conner up and tacked worked wonderfully.
