Reply:Chicago is the Midwest?I taught one a couple years ago at the ITW (Miller) place near Chicago. It went well. All the guys were pretty pleased. It's nice to see pics of what some of them are doing now.

Reply:To all the ones who took the time to reply to my query about starting a group of people to learn about tig welding ----- I say this, I was not stating that chicago was of any great importance--- but rather the place near where I live and I was looking to generate interest in learning the art of tig welding!!!! thank you for the humor, but humor will not educate one in the use of tig welding. I guess the indifference people are exhibiting these days is fashionable-- thank you for the sincere response. signed--disappointed!!!!!
Reply:look ...if you want to come to mass then i'd be more than happy to teach you anything you wanna know tig wise..granted we can be smart arses here..but thats the beauty of it all..we're actually bringing attention to your post..if i read this "chiming in" and was actually in your area?..i'd certianly give it a go...i'm just doing the same thing here because i can..who knows? someone out there might just step up to the plate..with a torch in his hand........zap!Last edited by zapster; 01-07-2007 at 05:11 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:You could always check at ShopFloorTalk.com. For the life of me, I can't remember the Admin's online name, but he lives in that area and may set up something sometime. His name is Ron, and you can find him easily there.
Reply:would like to start a tig welding seminar gathering ???just exactly what is this again??are you offering to teach or asking for help lerning??there are some realy good TIG welders here that will happily anwser any of your questions, ceteque your welds if you post pic's if you are looking for help. there are a lot of tell tale signs that the good tig guys can tell just by looking at a pic what went wrong, be it gas or too hot or cold or whatever.so if you are looking for hep...lighten up a bit and take advantage of the help thats here to be had.if you are looking for guys to just get togather and hang out playing with TIG thats fine too and there jokes do keep your post at the top of the page getting it more exposure. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time. |
