With just welding (no cutting), about how long (in hours?) could you weld, depending on bottle size? 10CF bottles? 20CF? 40CF? 80CF? 155? Thanks!

Reply:Im sorry... I dont really know what any of that means...  . Could you (or anyone) explain please? Thanks!
Reply:Find your tip size on the chart. Follow that line to the right to the flow rate, in SCFH, column. Read that rate and divide your tank size by that figure. So a size 0 tip set at 3psi would use 2 cubic feet of acetylene per hour.
Reply:Thanks for the question and the answer.  I needed this information as I had been using the SWAG method.

Reply:Originally Posted by JMcDonaldAh ok thanks. So even with some 10CF tanks I could still get maybe 3-5 hours out of it? Thanks!I was worried about getting like 15 minutes out of it unless I bought some tanks the size of surf boards, but Im not so worried now. *edit* I have a MIG so I probably wont be using the O/A torch much, especially if I can get the MIG to work with aluminum.
