What is the scoop on the Wilton bandsaws. found 1 on CG for $300, 12" with cooling. Might go check it out, has to be better than my Carolina. Looks like Wilton and Jet merged or 1 bought the other, don't know id I am big on Jet? Anybody know the Wilton as far a quality and where it's made?"Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251 Syncrowave 300 30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200 1 short hood SA250 SAM 400
Reply:Believe it or not, a lot of people swear by the HFT bandsaws...about $140 when on sale with the 20% off coupon.
Reply:Went out and looked at the Wilton and found it to be about 15 yrs old and in good shape but dirty. Bought it for $260. Later looked it up , model 3410 and found they go 1200 new and weigh in around 280 lbs. Picture is from the net of a new one, I will try to get actual pict. tomorrow. Saw made it 15 or more years. I got it home , off the truck and rolling it into the garage I lost it as it is top heavy and it fell breaking 1 of the blade quides, I was really upset with myself but what can you do. Will braze it or replace, 40 bucks. Like I said I had it in my posession under and hour and did it in. Should be easy fix and it also has the cooling pump and res.
