I have this old Lincoln welder that uses regular 110 power from my wall plug. I am trying to weld 1/16" stainless using Tungsten 1/16" electrodes and I can seem to get it to weld properly, it just sparks and sticks to the metal - any suggestions?
Reply:Is the machine AC like I assume from your title, or DC? ( Most machines like this I've seen are AC) If you are trying to do scratch start tig, you need a DC powersource to do what you want..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:I am not familer with Tungsten electrodes for Arc Welding. What electrode type number are you using (ie: 6011, 6013, 7014, 7018AC) ?I offer three choices: Good, Fast, & Cheap. You may pick two.Hobart AC/DC StikMate LXHarbor Freight AD HoodHarbor Freight Industrial Chop SawDeVilbis 20 Gallon, 5 HP Compressor |
