haven't been on here for a lil while. how would you suggest i go about cleaning a 44 gallon drum to make it safe for welding stuff to? its only had brand new clean chainsaw chainbar oil in it.http://datingsidorsingel.com/
Reply:Cheeseclip, I often use 55 gallon drums to make deer feeders, what i do is get a automotive degreaser and simply spray it on the inside and scrub and rinse off. Be sure you dry it very well after you have rinsed it or it will rust very quickly. As for welding to the outside, i just take a flapdisk on a grinder and grind off the paint where i need to weld. After you get done be sure to paint or coat the inside because these things will rust through fairly quickly. This is just the way i do it, im sure there are a million other ways, hope this helps, NickNick |
