I was at the tire shop getting a flat fixed and I noticed this tire blaster on the shelf. I really hope they're not EVER gonna use that thing again! But somehow I think they willSorry, I forgot to rotate the pics before uploading them."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:I don't think it's a repair. I'm guessing it was shop-built by modifying a portable air tank.
Reply:Ya know, that sounds right, denrep. I was thinking repair because the handle is in the right place and the feet. I forgot about the portable tanks."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:I wouldn't stand next to that when it's pressurized.Looks like it was done by the same guy who welded the leg onthe tank shown in "welding on a pressure vessel" thread.Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite
Reply:Cheetahs are expensive, about $500, whereas making one like that is cheap. $20 air tank and a valve. used for seat beads on tires that won't seal against the rim/bead. looks like it is holding though. paint would have helped... at least its not bird poopTiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:whoever made it used a portable air tank and a pipe fitting threaded on both ends... they could have at least cut the threads off the end they welded to the tank..tackleexperts.comwww.necessityjigs.comhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/mach...dingequipment/

Reply:If you get enough ether in the tire, they ll come 2 feet off the ground, old ether was much more potent than today, paper matches are the preferred choice over bic lighters because your a bit farther away!
Reply:differt brands have more either than others. I always spray a trail along the out side of the tire and throw a stick match. Definatly a home made job. Buudy of mine ordered a cheap one off of flea bay and it was the same thing only they painted the weld.Millermatic 252millermatic 175miller 300 Thunderboltlincoln ranger 250smith torcheslots of bfh'sIf it dont fit get a bigger hammer |
