Here's a job I did a couple years ago when I was working for another fab shop, (before I left their headaches for my own headaches). All hand forged on coal, 1/2 solid square bar. They're proll'y more ornamental than truly secure, I wanted to add a bar and 2 more mounting clips in the middle of each guard, but customer chose to leave it out since it was close to eye level and blocked their view. They're powder coated gloss black.This is one of those jobs that can really energize you since you get paid good coin to play with fire and red hot steel, and all the oohs and ahhs of any customer that happened by didn't hurt my mood while making these. The only down side to that is they were made during the summer. Ugh, it was hot standing in front of that fire. Attached Images
