costomer wanted something other than 1/4" plywood with roofing tin on it .....so I put together some 1 1/2" square 16 GA. and 16 GA sheet with some lincoln .035 flux core wire.and cut everything with the POWERMAX 30 woo hoo... Hobarts door chart is saying tap 1 and 20ipm or something.. I run about tap 2 an 3 at 30 ipm and cranked to fill a couple spots sheet tack welded my a$$ off and moved around but still rushed it as the sheet distorted quite a bit.... as I had to weld 6" inches or so before I could stop myself hurry hurry bad Tony ... but that's not an issue with this door .so the costomer is happy that's what counts got done alot faster besids all the grnding on the edge but it was better than payin the local guy to brake it for me..... cause my brake only does like 28 GA. but I have a 3/8"x 5"x10'6" angle and was FREE that's a start to a mean brake I may need to build one day if I can get more freebies for it lol. Here's a couple pics of the door and oh ya my new compressor that will probally get a new life on the trailer most of the time and my cart I built for the Hobart a few years ago I got it for 336.00 at atwoods HH 180 wow and the 187 was bumping it out so I caught it at the right time as it was the last one woot woot... and was the shelf sticker price believe that OMG!!!I know it's not portable and it looks built better than all the little ones I practically dragged down the street. It has thicker longer welds than the CH brand on the mounts and such so we'll see how it does if I mount it to the shop it will bounce off the ground when the ammunition plant 30 miles away blows off their extra or obsolete bombs daily so shock vibration may be a lil more on the trailer I guesse will be working on a piping system and an old A/C coil mounted on the trailor with a drainable tub for water cooling moisture separator system and silver solder copper 1-2" (depending what I can stir up for FREE or trade off some work or something) on a removable dead head frame or something as this thing puts out lots of water as it has rained for two weeks straight here and have to stop the water soon.as I am definitely on spending restrictions this time for a while as I just purchased the brake last week for 1700.00 but the two roofs I have been waiting on the rain to do will cover the brake just the difference of the pre bent trim at 1.00-3.50 a foot and flat sheet at 13.00 a sheet is a considerable savings... and now I have to make all my trim look at what I got into now LOL. but will clear 600 to 800 alone on trim per job just in material savings so a day in the shop wont be bad at that rate being that's the only place to work lately damn rain and in a couple weeks it wont rain for 3 months poor garden.... and now I have a brake again but now all the work jeezeAlright let me have it on the wavy hacked up door job LOL[IMG] [/IMG]My nasty globs of welds LOL[IMG] [/IMG]Thought I had a better pic of the finished edge hmm not a bad job sheet was 35.00 and box tube was like 10.00 EA. x2... Their cost 300.00 installed door so profit for a few hours 220.00 with a Gal. of tractor enamel paint yup gotta paint it onsite ... not bad and I'm aware of the fire hazzards it's worst than Sam's place being so close to the house but I have a water hose and pond near by LOL grass is wet anyhow for now..Gravel is comming for the yard soon!!! damn mud and someone has gotta move these piles of junk LOL.[IMG][/IMG]The new compressor woo hoo[IMG][/IMG]Lincoln 225 Tombstone,Miller Big 20,Hobart 180,150' Argon,A/D hobart hood 22 Ton Log splitter,79 F350 dump eats 4.75 TONS and still turns cutters, grinders,And a Hypertherm POWERMAX 30
