Trailer light brackets - again.I started on the second set of trailer light brackets yesterday.  This set is for my nit-picky buddy, Tom.I made mine last week - here's the link for them.  http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=30256I wanted to do something different on his, so I decided on a 4 sided housing.  I brought home a piece of 6" X 1/4" X 5' flat from the local steel yard.  I didn't take any pics of the build phase, but here's what I've got so far.  Here's the shape I came up with. Notice the flat washer to the left side of the housing.  I found these at the local farm supply store.  They were the perfect size for holding the 2" light grommet, and only .89 each.  I decided to use these, much easier than trying to cut a nice circle twice to weld on the 3" piece of pipe.  Well worth it in my opinion.Here's a couple of close ups - Here's the pair together, the one on the right is almost completed.  I still need to weld the washer on the pipe, but all the welds have been ground off and sanded down.  I think this one looks really good.  Tom came by last night while I was working on these and brought a me a 30 pack of Busch Light.  I told him I was gonna send them off to be chrome plated!!  A few more of the right one. I couldn't make any money selling these for sure.  I've got several hours in this project already, but it's just for fun anyhow.  On a positive note, he shouldn't be able to tear these off since they're made out of 1/4" material!!

Reply:Ok, I gotta come clean with ya weldbead.  I used my flux core wire welder on the whole dang project!!I haven't used O/A to weld anything for so long I can't remember the last time.  I think I'll try a little this week just to see if I still have the knack for it!!
