Zinc based die-cast

New guy on the block with ?'s about zinc based die-cast. Is there a good way to identify it and can it be welded ? Sorry I don't have a camera to send a pic. The piece in ? is a fender mount off a Honda motorcycle don't know model or year. Thanks for any help.Doug

Reply:It's white metal die cast or pot metal.
Reply:It will fuse with tig on a.c.I did some last Saturday during class on a band saw guard..At first I had thought it was aluminum but no..Microzone was there......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
