I have a question maybe someone can help me with. One of my old welders an ac 225 lincoln, the dial where you adjust the amperage has frozen or locked up.What do i do to fix this? Or should I junk it?Thanks
Reply:The quick answer is yes, you should be able to fix that quite easily - pull off the side/top panel, take apart the rotary switch, clean all the contacts, grease them slightly and put the switch back together. Should work like a charm. If you use the 'search' function, you will turn up two threads on this - with lots of pictures and detailed instructions of how to do that.Restoring your Lincoln AC-225 welderhttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=4533Refurb of a Lincoln Lincwelder AC-225-shttp://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=59987Rick V 1 Airco Heliwelder 3A/DDR3 CTC 70/90 amp Stick/Tig Inverters in Parallel1 Lincoln MIG PAK 151 Oxy-Acet
