Reply:this is a 1970's mig welder. it is big about 40" tall 16" wide and 30" deep that is all i know about it. it says millermatic 35S thanks
Reply:Find the SN located on the faceplate of the unit and go here http://www.millerwelds.com/service/ownersmanuals.php to get the manual for it and you'll have pretty much all you'll need to know about it.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:That has to be the MillerMatic 35 then. I don't know anything about the 'S' on the end of the name, maybe it originally came with a Spoolmatic spool gun as a package deal. You can weld just about anything you want to in steel with proper joint prep and enough passes. 1/4" v-groove or fillet in a single pass should be no problem for it.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:Is it a 120v machine? If so, I wouldn't weld anything over 3/16", 1/4" MAXIMUM, with a few passes. I have the MM 135 (regular, not S), and it's a fun little unit! Have a Jeep Cherokee? Click Here!

Reply:I may be wrong but that machine in the used market usually brings $5-600.00 all day long and I have seen them listed for quite a bit more. It's getting old but still has good part availability and is pretty reliable as it is not a complex as many or today's unit. Have used Millermatic 35's for a lot of work. Reply:Ive had a MM35 for 10 years now that 150 amp is kinda underating it I think. with a 90/10 gas it will spray 0.30 wire prolly 0.35 too. I use the 90/10 .030 with my MM 35 all the time works great for flat and vertical, not so well overhead i dont have enough wire speed my dial is cranked all the time on number 3 and higher. |
