Welding Cable Lugs

I have 1/0 welding cable and the 300amp ground clamp as seen here,the problem i'm having is finding a 1/0 cable lug rated for 300amps the closet thing as far as amps is tweco's T-40HD-25 rated for 325amps but for a 4/0 cable. http://www.thermadyne.com/tweco/prod...5Code=&W6Code= And as far as other company's such as hobart i can't find any amp specifications, can somebody point me in the right direction where i can purchase the correction lug, the stud on the ground clamp is 3/8.

Reply:I don't have a lug at the other end of the cable, im using the quick connectors.

Reply:it looks like it would work fine. as for amperage it doesn't take much solid material to carry the amps for such a short distance from the stud to the cable. not like the run on a length of actual stranded cable. my concern would be the size of the hole in the lug plus i prefer the bare copper. less resistance and oxidation of dissimilar metals. that's why i would make it out of copper and size the hole to fit tight. if in doubt of just a crimp, do both crimp and solder.225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw
