I just bought a WC-3 with a spoolmatic 2 gun for $ 150 dollars and i cant get it to do anything. it has a 110volt (reg. house outlet) plug, positive to welder, ground and gas hookup. I was wondering if i need to have the + to welder hooked up to something to power on? Because i plug in the 110 volt plug into a outlet and it still does nothing. If anybody could give me some advise on the wc-3, i would be very thankful!! What the + to welder need to be hooked up to? What is the 110v plug in for? Does the ground have to be hooked up for it to work? I think the + to welder needs to be hooked up to a welder of some sort, which models will work? Anybody have advise?? Thanks for your time.
Reply:The Spoolmatic 2 / WC-3 operates off the welding power source weld output so yes, they need to be connected to the welder (+) and the WC-3 work lead clamp to the material being welded. The WC-3 / Spoolmatic 2 combination is designed to work with CC (stick) and CV (MIG) machines.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
