Reply:with a few little changes that would make one heck of a pig cooker. just add a motor and a few burners and there ya go. grade a hog cooker. nice job, reckon they will try to wear it out.
Reply:Sorry to bring back an old thread but I was wondering how this was working out. I just bought a shop that came with 2.2 acres. My said there was a house, guest house, and a separate air conditioned building I am going to turn into a mini gym/ workout room since all 3 of kids are in gymnastics. Anyways I plan on building some equipment so the kids can practice and play at home as well. Thanks,Ryan
Reply:Wow. I would imagine that the hardest part is making sure the bottom frame is square and flat so that it doesn"t rock.
Reply:That is almost exatly the design I came up with. I haven't built it yet. What size square tubing did you use that sleeves together for the uprights?
Reply:Long story but, I answered and add when a guy was selling concrete forms for sidewalks, asked if he needed welding to barter for forms. Luck would have it he wanted these bars that he saw on the internet for his daughter. I am going from memory but I believe the major part of it was 1/8 wall 2" tubing. The slider piece was 1 1/2 tubing but it was too sloppy so I shimmed the inner of the 2" with flat stock sheet material to obtain a good fit that would still slide. I only made the one set and If I give it some thought I will try to come up with the internet sight so you can get some Ideas as I did. Forgive me but its been over a year now."Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251 Syncrowave 300 30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200 1 short hood SA250 SAM 400
Reply:Used to be you could buy tubing that was extruded to telescope inside another piece of tubing from Shupe. They quit handling it because the demand wasn't there. My go-to-guy is Fleishcher Tube Distributors Corp. in Bay Shore NY. He's at www.fleishertube.com He's fairly reasonable, and it's on the Li'l Brown Truck the next day. Prepare to pay a little more for shipping and handling. Reply:OK, go to the internet and punch in "Gymnastics Mini Bars" and all kinds of manufacturers will come up , most with dimensions and great pictures, hope this will help. remember if you buy close fitting tubing you will need seemless tubing which of course is much more expensive. Regular tubing has a weld running the length of the ID and it will interfere."Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum"Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DCMillermatic 251 Syncrowave 300 30A spoolgunLincoln MP210Hypertherm 45(2) LN 25(2) Lincoln Weldanpower 225 CV(4) SA200 1 short hood SA250 SAM 400
