A 13' gate

No fab table big enough for the gate, so we had to lay it all out on the floor.  My dad did all the cutting, and I did all the welding.Some mockup stuff after I tack'd the outside frame of the gate.This isn't even the design we are doing(there is a big bar missing in the middle) but this is just to show the vertical bars we are going to put in there to keep critters out.This is what I have done as of last night, but after I took that picture, I welded two vertical bars(to keep critters out) and then stopped.If you look in the background, on our fab table, you can see the huge fence post we are going to use to hold the gate up.I hope to finish this gate up tomorrow.  Now... how long it will take us to put the new post in the ground and connect the existing chainlink.. that's a different story hah.

Reply:Yeh I've only been welding since like Nov 2008 so my welds aren't nearly as pretty as the other people on this site, but they are strong; that's why I don't have any closeups of my welds hah.  I might take some when I go finish the gate up tomorrow.

Reply:Update on the gate.  We are changing the design of the gate.  I think my dad wants a big "C" in the middle or something.  Anywho, that's the last bar I'll weld in on that side.  He told me to stop because he's going to have me cut out that big bar in the middle, and we will put that design he wants there instead.This is the smoker we've been working on for about 2 years.  We work on that when we get burnt out on whatever else we are working on.  We did quite a bit of work on it this past winter, so we could use it this year hah.Cookin some HANDburgers on the grill... *rimshot* Damn I made a funny joke!

Reply:Used the smoker yesterday, it did a good job!Going to go finish up the "C" going in the middle.  It's made out of the box tubing and is like 7 different pieces cut and welded up to make the C.  Should be interesting.
