hi all.Im wanting to buy a tig/stik inverter here in aus. anyone know of a good brand and model? Im very new to tig, but I pick things up quick, so hopefully with the time nd practice I can become proficient with it. I would love to weld like all you tig legends. Ive seen some great welds on this forum!!!! Great stuff!!!!My budget isnt that great yet, but it wont be too long!! Just having a look around for now.Thanx
Reply:I can't be of much help, I have a Dynasty 200DX. A bit spendy, but I figured, if Im buying, and buying for the long term, get the Cadillac. If you're just wanting DC only, ... I believe anything in the Maxstar series by Miller is Inverter based.
Reply:What brands are available to you?
Reply:wia , kempii, esab , cigweld, lincoln , are all top breeds , if ur on a budget go for something like token tools , the farm magazine by kondinin group did a comparison of around 15 or 20 inverter welders , and out of all the cheapies token tools was best , if you need i can probably work out how to send you the artical
