I recently bought a tooling package for a 3-D modular fixture table that I picked up. The table is a knock-off of a Demmeler/Bluco. (It's not quite as refined, but it'll work every bit as well.) I ended up buying a BuildPro tooling package (from StrongHand) and am getting it all set up and figured out. I'm hoping to get in touch with others that use such tooling as I'd like to get some pointers on how to get the most out of the system. I also hope to find some insight into parts/accessories that I might want to make or purchase in the future.Anyway, if you are using one of these systems and can offer some input, please post! Also, if you're using a BuildPro system, I have some extra "360" anchors. They don't work for my 3-D table, so I had to make some adapters to use in their place. If you need/want the anchors, just let me know!
Reply:I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on the buildpro table. which tooling package did you get?
Reply:Sorry for the delayed reply. I checked back a few times and didn't see any replies and just forgot about it. I ended up getting the biggest tooling package that they had. It's pretty nice stuff. While it's not quite as nice/heavy as the German stuff, it's about 1/5 the cost (and will work just as well). My table is a 3-D table and not a BuildPro, so I had to machine some adapters to run the 360-degree clamps. I am about to put the whole system to work and start welding things up. I can already tell it is going to save me a LOT of time and hassle. These modular setups aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny. |
