Hi people,I'm thinking of building myself a nice charcoal bbq. I have been testing out some systems in sketchup and tried some different designs. But i cant seem to come up with a good system to adjust the hight of the coal basket while cooking.I have looked on the projects page and came across a nice cable system that balances itself out. But I'm looking for something that I have seen on a website of pitmakers. The grillmeister i think they call it. Does any1 have any good id's to share on a great system to use? I'm looking for a lever type of build.GreetingsThurstan
Reply:I made one using a scissor jack and it has worked flawlessly for years---can't show you pics cause it's in Nevada and I'm in Africa at the moment. I had the part you turn pointing towards me when standing in front of the grill.6 Miller Big Blue 600 Air Paks2 Miller 400D6 Lincoln LN-25's4 Miller Xtreme 12VS2 Miller Dimension 812 4 Climax BW-3000Z bore welders Hypertherm 65 and 85Bug-O Track BugPair of Welpers
Reply:Yeah i have seen other setups using that method. I do like it, but i need something that is adjustable alot faster. I need to be able to from min hight to max hight in no time. |
