Another customer tears down and rebuilds tail booms for helicopters. So they needed a mobile jig that has a little room for adjustment. Since then, they have fabricated a plate that bolts to the cross bar to keep it set in that position. In this photo, they have a temporary rubber piece set in there. It's pretty cool watching them go though the various stages of the builds. It was mostly constructed of 3" x 1/4" square tube so it would not flex. All plate was 1/4 or 1/2" and it sit's on 1500lb casters. Attached ImagesCommon sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom. |
