Reply:Looks almost real. If you don't mind telling, How long did it take to build?
Reply:thats very nice any pictures of the build process?www.burdettenetworks.com
Reply:It took about 4 weeks on n off to build. Some days I would work for 8 hours and some days for only 3. I'd guess about 200 hours total. I used 035 solid wire. I'll try find some build pics, I've got some of some other stuff for sure I'll look around.

Reply:I've got a 36" walleye i'm workin on will post it soon
Reply:That's a great piece. I don't know if you could charge enough for 200 hours of work, but I sure would like one hanging on my office wall.
Reply:thanks for all the great comments. I'll try post some more pics. This pic. doesn't show but its 3 dimensional, also iys on a stand but could easily made to hang on the wall
Reply:Really great project, both in design and manufacture, I think it would look great wall mounted with no visible means of support, Best regards Gordon.
Reply:I kind of had same thought but when I saw what appears a large base and the fact is was away from the wall. I am not sure if its a full design or one sided? If one sided having it mounted on a marine backdrop murral on a wall would be something truely visual! Especially if he has similiar design fish to go along with it in a kind or undersea murral.Either way its still an impressive piece of work.Oh yeah I would be sitting proudly in front of that piece of work tooif it were something I createdCo-Own CNC shop:Miller :1251 plasma cutter, MaxStar 700 TIG/Stick, & XMT 456 Multiprocess Welder.& 2 Hypertherm HPR260's Plasma CutterSorry I had a bad stroke but now I am back.

Reply:The textures on this are fascinating. Truly artistic. If it's to be kept indoors, I'd hate to see it all covered up with paint. I might hit it in a few places with very light amounts (spray short bursts from 2 -3 feet) of flat black and/or some metallics to create contrast and highlight some details. Also check outhttp://www.sculptnouveau.com/Details...=41&category=6 Since these fish have iridescent scales, a hint of iridescent patina could be effective. Just a thought. In any case, I wouldn't do much to hide the craftsmanship already there."We live in an age when unnecessary things are our only necessities. " - Oscar WildeMaxstar STL150Eagle CPM30 Bender
