Reply:Good job, do you have any attachments for it?If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.

Reply:OMG that is quite possibly THE coolest tractor I have ever seen....what a gem!!  Cool post, thanks for the view .Have a Jeep Cherokee?  Click Here!
Reply:Thanks Guys,I wish I had some before pics but they're on regular film.I got the daughter to take some digital ones so I could put them on a couple tractor forums.I have the mowing deck and it is complete and the original engine. The engine I will see if it is worth finding parts. The deck needs done also.I went ahead and mounted the old tank and fuel bowl in case I would get an original replacement or the original going. They had 3.6 clintons on them or 4hp kohlers later.Ifound that motor on a snowblower I bought cheap at a sale and that way I didn't have to alter the frame or anything.the seat has to be a later model according to my research, but was on it.pro-level dumpster diver                                     Hobart 125EZ

Reply:Thats sweet, I havent seen one of those in a long time.  My dad used to have one and it would pull the front wheels off the ground when he put it in gear
Reply:NICE tractor. Rebuilding that deck may get expensive. I have a deck from 1980. When I found out the cost to replace the three spindles & hubs ( not rebuildable) I just forgot about it.
Reply:Wello has it right the feet go on the highway pegs I'll call them. Also if the deck is on it is a good flat place to put them.Oldtimer the deck is all complete and free turning,I think it would be okay just tuff looking like the tractor was. They had kept it greased on the shafts and such and was a pretty simple design to start with.I had to replace the axle seals and trans seals but they were available thru my toro dealer at ace.I guess toro bought WH in the 80's.Hydro your right the front ends were very light.I don't have weight in the front wheels now. The front rims were way worse than the back because they said they had a glycol ballast in them for weight and it was supposed to be corrosive. The fronts were rusted to the rims and I used my big vise to help remove them and that stuff got on it and in a couple days it was wanting to rust.Last edited by stevinator; 04-29-2008 at 06:30 PM.pro-level dumpster diver                                     Hobart 125EZ
Reply:I saw the pegs, but dang, they looked waaaaay too far forward for a person's feet to reach, except maybe Wilt Chamberlain!  Reminds me of Police Acedemy  MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:That's cause your sense of scale is way off, there ain't no dime for comparison! I hope there is a cover for the belt and pulleys!  Very cool project!City of L.A. Reply:Yeah the looks are decieving on the pegs,I am not real tall and the seat is in the farthest position back and it's not a long stretch. The belt guard was on later models and this one your knees are bent about where the pulleys are so it seems pretty safe.Ralph Nader would hate it.It's like a pedal tractor with a motor.pro-level dumpster diver                                     Hobart 125EZ

Reply:Very nice job on the restoration.  I love the old mowers.  I still have a '62 model and a '64 model Cub cadet that my father bought new.  We  have rebuilt them a few times over the years but never owned another mower since.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:Hammack I like the old ones too especially when someone keeps them and takes care of them like your doing.Around here the tractor shows will have the lawn and garden tractors too so people are kinda getting more interested in them.I think some of the early sixties models are pretty neat fixed up.Sears, bolens, deere and cub cadet are all desirable.Simplicity and wheel horse also.Seems like wheel horse from what I am told are kinda hard to find around here.Toro bought them in the late 80's.pro-level dumpster diver                                     Hobart 125EZ
Reply:That's Beautiful!!! Love the red. My dad has the John Deere 210 sitting in the yard by the back fence rusting away. He bought it when I joined the Air force, he didnt have me to push mow the yard anymore, lol. He said it has a broke crankshaft, sighs. Anyone have a crankshaft for an old Kohler 10HP? sitting around? LOL, maybe I oughta grab it to restore. It's an early 80's model.
