I made a couple of these years ago. Gave the first one to my brother-in law and kept the second one. My son borrowed mine and is still using it. I'm fixing to go fishing so I picked up a couple of joints of electrical conduit that would telescope and then raided my scrap pile for metal. After purchasing two equipment pins, four bolts & locknuts, and a 1/4" boomer I have about $38 in this thing. Cut two slots in the tube that fits over the fifth wheel pin for a lock to fit in, squirted a little paint on the welds, and it's ready to go. Grandma is happy cause her trailer won't shake when some one walks around in it. I'm happy cause Grandma is happy.

Reply:Hey, it's finally greening up out your wayI see how it works. Lock it to the kingpin, adjust the legs to get close, then use the comealong to pull the legs together, which exerts upward pressure against the kingpin, then invite the camp neighbors over for a partyBut on a down note............. Ya just killed the time honored sayin'"Don't come a knockin' if the trailer's rockin'" "Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/ |
