Wife has been bugging me for a long time for clothes lines. Finally made them up today from scrap 2 1/2" pip and 2" pipe. Cut the end of old chain links for something tie line to. Placed them on property line between us and my wife's daughter so they can both use them. Attached Images

Reply:That's cool. My wife quit hanging clothes on the line about 35 years ago. We had a discussion about it and her position on the matter was: "If you want them hung on a clothesline, you can start doing the washing!" Guess who won that discussion. I pulled the poles up years ago.
Reply:Lookin' good PA! I recall my grandmother hangin' clothes back in the 50s and 60s. The clothes had a different feel and smelled great too! You might have started a "new trend." SteveJunkYard Tools .com
Reply:Great looking posts. As a kid my grandmother used to always hang clothes out, on the clothes line my grandfather and I built for herBeer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy!
Reply:looks great how high are they and how much did you put in the ground
Reply:Great job. Clothes, sheets and towels hung on clothes lines have a smell that you can't get with a dryer. Sleeping on the sheets was a great thing as a child because of the smell. Of course this was before permanent press fabric and fabric softner too. Almost everything was made of cotton and was ironed by hand.Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money. -Cree Indian ProverbSA 200 LincolnVictor Torches
