I started another roadtrain dolly at work last week this is made using the same basic frame as the last one I built but in stead of spring suspension this one will be running airbags so a few things were changed around here some pics of the work so far once I have the frame tacked up I turn it with a forklift so all welds are down in a down hand position more pics to come the frame is made from 6x4x3/8 rhs with 5x1/2 flat fully welded on the under side were the suspension mounts some of the pics are a bit sad as i used my phone to take them Creative metal Creative metal Facebook

Reply:How many of those are you going to string together between the trailers? Seems like you Aussies out there like pulling long road trains. Read on another forum that this guy hooked up 177 trailers to a MACK Titan, and towed it for eight kilometers. At the time, it was the recordholder for world's longest road train. |
