OK, mig push or drag? And why?Tim Beeker.
Reply:What ever feels good , both work fine , depends on how you feel body position ,fatigue , you will figure out what works good for you , you will figure what works for you after some time under the hood

Reply:Dragging creates less spatter, but reality is.... it really depends on the specific joint you are welding and how you need to control the heat(distortion)..... I all ways try to drag rather than push no matter which direction I am going(left-right) vertical (up or down) or overhead..... Reply:Yeah I only had a few minutes last night on the net, search ate up a few of those unsuccessful. So I threw this out there. Don't like then don't read it and **** off.I always pushed but had to pull because of position, I was surprised how much more penetration I got.Slag you drag I always heard. My neighbor lady wanted to try welding so I set up the 200, she had a hard time seeing the puddle pushing, pulling was much easier for her.sundown111 I was hoping you would be in bed and not see this, I am glad you had something to bitchabout.Tim Beeker.

Reply:That's so odd.. I always find it easier to pull. I can play around with the puddle a lot better in my opinion.Maybe I'll try some push.. nah.JoeMiller 140 Autoset (2010)Miller Syncrowave 250 (1996) |
