This building I'm working on had some poor planning.There is no way to get a crane to it some most stuff is pulled up by hand with a pulley.This is what I cut off ,was mounted too low anyway.See the welder at the end?(sitting)Replaced with 3 by 3 by 3/8 angle.Not shown are a few more brace's(2" angle)The 2by4 is just helping to hold it while we weld it up
Reply:If the old one would of had a steeper angle in the underside brace, and the brace closer to the end where the clevis attaches, it might have been allright.The bulk of the load is carried by the brace in these kind of things."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Yep and how much weight can you pull up by hand anyway....it just looked bad to me
