Here's a little project I did this weekend.  It was mostly cutting, with a little welding.  The columns are concrete culverts stood on end and filled with dirt... about 6 years ago.  It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to put on top, so as you can see the ivy had a little time to get established.The arch is constructed of some heavy 8" channel that came out of my old shop, and the cow was cut out of some 3/16 plate that was salvaged from an old dump truck bed.I cut the channel with o/a, including the stars; I used plasma on the cow... all freehand.  Welded the big pieces together with the MIG, and stuck the cow on top with some flux core wire in my 110 MIG.I expect the arch should be completely covered with ivy by this time next year. Reply:Good work and it shows a lot of creativity. The thing you might add is to experiment with some lighting to show it off at night. I saw a mountain house not long ago with lighting installed in the soffit to show case the house at night. It really made it look pretty. Maybe a little lighting would make the cow look even prettier at night. Again good work.
