A customer wants a 60" fan (15hp) mounted in the end of a container so they can get better flow for their airplane motors. So I spend about 1/2 hour on autocad, 1/2 hour on the saw and another 3 1/4 hours in fabrication and welding. The material is 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x .120 square tube, which borders the mounting rings that came with the fan. I'll try to remember to post pics after I weld it in and run the duct work outside his building. Attached ImagesCommon sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom. |
