i want to use a spool gun on my 250 airco tig welder.what kind of adapters or mod's do i need to do for this kind of conversion??? it sounds easy just the gas or low voltage would need to be worked out . also how would this work with the High F on the tig.??
Reply:Is there a brand name and model of a spool gun that has the wire speed knob on the gun for easier converting onto a tig and quick wire speed changes???? my budget is $200 new or used gun .Last edited by vettepicking; 11-27-2007 at 01:32 AM.
Reply:TIG uses a constant current (CC) power supply.MIG "normally" uses a constant voltage (CV) power supply.MIG may use a CC supply with a "Voltage Sensing" wire feeder.Not sure if your spool gun is compatible with a CC supply, probably not?
