Reply:Hey ludwin,Just a "WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WILL ROBINSON!!!!!"You are new. You are inexperienced. You indicate you may get a C-H Mig105. You indicate you want to repair a truck frame. It is apparent you haven't used the "search" function by simply typing "Frame Welding/Repairs" in the search window & read the responses, probably several hundred with many threads to get a basic understanding of what you want to endeavor.Just read the responses you will get & simply absorb the suggestions/opinions. If you don't like them, you can mosey to another forum. You can get quite an education here if you have the fortitude to endure a challenge. Nuff said......DennyComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:well i'm not planning on doing the welding my self i probably wait until my dad comes back home in about a month.... but i wanna know if the welding can be done wiht C-H105 and if its a good machine to own we probably dont use it to much except for exahust work but i have these one case where we need to fix the truck frame so im trying to get a welder instead of rent it one thanks
Reply:Hey ludwin,NO.....the unit you list would not be an adequate unit for repairs of that genre. Might be ok for exhausts......that's about it.DennyComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:If your dad is a welder, and you show him that machine and tell him what you had in mind for it, he'll be rolling on the floor laughing his a$$ off the rest of the day. Go get a REAL welding machine for him to use for that repair, even if it means renting one. Better yet get him to go with you to the rental place so he can get the right machine the first trip there.Try what Yorkie Pap said in his first response(read what has been said many times on here already about 110V Migs.) and you will get a better idea why this little rig won't cut it.Last edited by Bistineau; 11-22-2011 at 10:40 AM. |
