hey all, been lurking for a while in the background and decided to throw up some pics of a little project i've been working on for an new international airport.enjoy>main support columns,>partial assembly,>ext upper and lower panel mock-up Attached Images

Reply:WoW!  Sure beats a welding table.  Does that come apart for transport, or will it be transported like that?
Reply:fun to start, but that novelty quickly wears off. just those columns had about 3 weeks of prep work and the weld/assembly took me almost 8 weeks to completeunfortunatly, during the rest of the assembly i was in Trinidad on an installation and when i got back everything was pretty much completed. right now there's about 6 containers on boats headed overseas to the job site. (i follow in about a month's time...). i'll see if i can snag some shots of the stair case we had to fab (24 flights) in the next couple of days for another similar project.@ JC everything gets broken down, cleaned/prepped/painted, and what we can't do before hand gets done in the field. all part of the installation process.>test fit-up jig for roof beams>center hub>roof assembly in process Attached ImagesLast edited by Unklmo; 06-07-2009 at 12:30 PM.

Reply:hey guys, been a while since last posting.  now that i'm on the other side of the world (at least from my home) here's a link to see some of the progress here in Nigeria on the ATC cabin installation.http://s830.photobucket.com/albums/zz223/Unklmo/ @ FarmerSamm always some minor reworks to be done. usually referred to as "calibration" (7/8ths reamer) and "re-calibration" (the sledge )
