anyone ever use one. i herd they pretty good for small things. thats all i would want it for. i can get one for a good deal and i was wondering if there good. thanks
Reply:I amnot sure what it is personally. Just remember 80 amps is small so keep that in mind and it your are running high on the dial ie. 80 your duty cycle will suck. When doing TIG it is slow and time consuming so you may end up waiting on it to cool down often. I bought my dad a 140amp MIG from HF and it welds great decent power for smaller stuff but it trips out all the time. I was making a set of car ramps with it and when it triped out I would grab the lincolin buzz box and weld till the MIG was ready. Then I had to clean all the stick welds for paint what a pain.
